Study of population structure of mud crab genus Scylla spp. compared between natural mangrove forest and reforested mangrove at Kung Krabaen Bay, Chanthaburi Province was conducted from January to December 2020 by using collapsible crab traps. The result found mud crab genus Scylla consisted of tree species. The dominant species was Scylla tranquebarica (63.91%) following by S. paramamosain (29.90%) and S. olivacea (6.19%), respectively. Abundanceof mud crab was found in natural mangrove forest higher than reforested mangroveforest. High peak of the abundance was found significantly highest on July including season was also significantly influenced to abundance of mud crab (P<0.05). Sex ratio all year round between male and female of totally mud crab was 1:0.77. S. tranquebarica was 1:0.74 whereas S. paramamosain was 1:0.90. Carapace size distribution of S. tranquebarica, S. paramamosain and S. olivacea was most found ranged between 2-3 cm 6-7 cm and 9-10 cm, respectively. The relationship between carapace width and weight of three mud crab were W = 6.7497CW1.3813, W = 1.192CW2.1785 and W = 13.23CW1.244 indicated allometric growth pattern (b ≠ 3). The relationship between the abundance of mud crab and physical factor was correlated with water temperature, salinity, depth, transparency depth and air temperature (P<0.01). The result of this study clearly indicate that the Scyllaspp. can inhabited in both mangrove forest ecosystems but there were difference in abundance of mud crab species because of some environmental factors and the structural complexity in each mangrove forest.
